Steve Wininger: Bahoz Kurdi

This was the first time Newroz has been held since the start of the pandemic in late 2019.

There were some significant changes to the event such as where the stage is located as well as a new stage. Even with some structural changes, Newroz has remained the same as it has always been with Kurdish music, dancing, food, and plenty of socializing.

I also noticed that there were more non-Kurdish people in attendance than before. This is a good sign the Kurds are finally becoming recognized as a unique ethnic group with their own distinct culture and identity.
